People behind the passion

The ILM Aerospace Foundation is led by a dedicated group of professionals committed to advancing aerospace education and opportunity across Southeastern North Carolina. Our team brings together experience in aviation, public service, education, and nonprofit leadership—all with a shared vision: to inspire and equip the next generation of aerospace innovators.

We believe in the power of exposure, mentorship, and hands-on learning. From planning student outreach events to partnering with schools and industry professionals, our team works to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world aviation careers.

Together, we’re building pathways—on the ground and in the sky—for students of all backgrounds to dream bigger, reach higher, and explore the limitless possibilities of flight.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors will consist of seven members, all of whom will be appointed by the New Hanover County Airport Authority as follows:

One New Hanover County Airport Authority Member or designee
Six at large members appointed by the New Hanover County Airport Authority
